The Price of Innocence, By: Bryan Devore – Book Review

Writer John Le Carre said, "A desk is a dangerous place from which to view the world." He could have been describing the adventures of James and Ian Lawrence in Bryan Devore's latest thriller The Price of Innocence. Plunged into an underworld of saboteurs, spies, and sex traffickers, the Lawrence brothers quickly learn that the more they know, the deeper they go.

Both Ian and James start out as paper-pushers. Ian is a graduate student of economics, and James has found a comfortable CPA job in their hometown, Kansas City. Devore's first chapter scrambles to pack in the back story, which hampers the novel's rising action. However, after about 20 pages, The Price of Innocence takes an irresistible hold. Devore has a big imagination and the writing skills to match – soon, he's guiding his characters through the streets of Prague, Berlin, and Dresden. Ian, engrossed with his dissertation, stumbles across a practical way to use a cross-competition theory of capitalism. With some nudging from a professor with an ulterior motive, Ian comes to see how his theory could essentially destroy organized crime. He's motivated not only by academic curiosity. Marcus, a friend who has ties to an underground activist group called the White Rose, shows him a shocking scene that tips Ian towards starting the revolution. "Another door opened, for a brief moment revealing the silhouettes of several people inside the factory … out of the shadows stumbled three women in matching gray sweatpants and white T-shirts. Marcus remained silent as one of the men moved toward the nearest woman and ripped off her T-shirt. her pale skin and large breasts were briefly visible until she fell to the dirt. He stood above her, waving her torn shirt like a victory flag and laughing to the other men. " The shock of seeing the sex trade first-hand is all it takes to commit Ian to the plan of eradicating the crime infrastructure that feeds off these victims. It does not seem like much of a push, but, Devore reassures the reader, Ian has always been a thrill-seeker.

His brother James shares the same wild genes, though it takes quite a bit more to wake up his inner adrenaline junkie. By the time James arrives in Berlin to find his missing brother, his instincts are sparking like a severed power line. He has plenty of reasons to be more alert than usual. "[The stranger's] hands rested palms-up on his knees, making him look like a meditating Buddha, but then, a Buddha would not have two handguns beside him on the bed." One of the strongest dynamics in The Price of Innocence is the interplay between Ian and James – so alike that they are sometimes mistaken for one another, tied by blood and family history, and both fearless in their mission to bring down the powers of darkness .

Devore's eye for detail is particularly good. His careful attention to street names, international law, translations, and German history add credibility to The Price of Innocence that is reminiscent of John Le Carre or James Michener. "James stepped off the train onto one of the five platforms that stretched out from the Hauptbahnhof station toward the tracks he had just traveled on from the Leipzig airport into the city. An enormous roof arched above the area … He had never traveled to a foreign country before, but only now that he had finally reached his destination city would he let himself slow down and marvel at where he was. Leipzig, eastern Germany, formally part of the Soviet bloc, a place that had seen history-changing battles , from Germanic barbarians taking on the Roman legions, to the Napoleonic Wars, to the First and Second World Wars. " Whether it's the horrifying statistics of the sex trade, the broadcast of the breach of the Berlin Wall, or the RPMs of a BMW's engine at 200km per hour, Devore keeps his fantastic conspiracy grounded in facts, giving it a three-dimensional quality. The story's immediate, personal, and riveting – a page turner, in the very best way.

The Price of Innocence shows how courage and curiosity can change the world. Whether Devore's heroes start at a desk or in front of a firing squad, they'll keep you captivated until the very last paragraph.

The Top 10 Reasons Black Women Stay Single

Yes, there is a disproportionate amount of black women to black men and that could be why you're still single but let's be honest- you are a serial dater and your misfortunes with men are NOT due to the gender imbalance. YOU'RE THE REASON WHY YOU'RE STILL SINGLE! Now before you get angry with me and throw your computer out the window, let me explain.

It is so easy to blame external or inanimate forces for your relational dry spell. No one likes to believe that they are living in a self-created rut. Many black women walk around totally oblivious to the fact that they are responsible for their own relationship failures and if they could just tweak a few things, success would hasten their way.

I've given much thought to this topic and I've provided the top 10 reasons why a lot of black women are still single. I purposefully spent more time dealing with the most pertinent reasons because of their importance. The list is in order and the goal of the list is to help you look introspectively, discover what applies to you, and correct it so that you can find that ideal match. Please comment and let me know what you think.

1. The "Mr. Right" Complex

Let's agree that there is no such thing as perfect! Tragically, black women are inundated with images of Boris Kodjoe and thoughts of Derwin from The Game (Pooch Hall … yes Pooch) that they subconsciously expect the guy down the street to have the same appeal. Black women are used to having beauty shop talks about what a man needs to be (Height, weight, income, bone structure etc …). They end up creating a caricature from a Disney film rather than an actual man and then become dogmatic about finding someone with EVERY desired characteristic. Inevitably, when they meet Tyrone from down the street, they become dejected because he falls short of their lofty expectations, even though Tyrone is a really good guy. Ladies, here's some advice … PRIORITIZE! Write a list of the 10-15 things you want in a guy. Be detailed but reject the tendency to enter into a fairy tale world. Once you write your list, at the top of it write '70% – 80% '. If you can find a guy that possesses 70 to 80 percent of your list with two or three qualities in your top ten, YOU'VE FOUND A GREAT CATCH! It would be ridiculous if I rejected 100% of a delicious cake because 20% of it was burned. I'd just discard the 20% and delight my palate with the other 80%. Every human being is a WIP (Work In Progress) and if you learn to prioritize your preferences, you'll find a man that has most of the qualities you want and a willingness to develop in his deficient areas.

2. Just Can not Pick 'Em

The cheater, the deadbeat, the narcissist, the beady-eyed thug- you've been through them all. The old saying that good guys finish last is true because you've shunned the warm-natured gentile fellows for the riff-raff. Like a moth drawn to a campfire, you gravitate toward the "bad boys", and you regularly get burned for it. Consider this, a championship college football team is crafted by wooing and scouting the BEST recruits. The head coach scours the country looking for the best talent and he will not rest until he discovers the next Cam Newton (He's the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback from Auburn University). He meticulously puts together a winning team by focusing on the value of each individual recruit. Now, think about the last ten guys that you have dated. Think about their strengths, weaknesses, and think about why and how the relationship dissolved. Once you have the ten guys in your mind ask yourself this question, do those ten individuals make up one collective winning team? If your answer is NOT a resounding yes, then you need to do some soul searching. Why are you drawn to guys that do not match well with you? Why do you consistently pick the loser? Is there some historical event that has skewed your ability to make wise dating choices? Hopefully, you will find the answers to these questions so that your next pick will be the right one.

She-Ra was a cartoon character in the '80's with spectacular abilities. She was extremely strong and she wielded a sword that could transform her into an unstoppable super-being. She was the epitome of independent because she did not take any crap from anyone. Although She-Ra was intensely fun to watch on TV, I imagine that she would not be a very fun date. She-Ra would not allow a man to open the car door and she definitely would not allow a man to pay for her dinner. She would show up to the date flaunting her ability to suplex robots and communicate with animals and she would belittle her date's meager human contributions. Did you ever notice that She-Ra never had a man? Maybe you're still single because you come across as a 21st Century She-Ra. You've acquired a great job, college degree, and shiny new sedan by the sweat of your own brow. You never looked to a man to give you anything and you make that clear on every date that you go on. Here's the problem, most men want a semi-traditional woman. This does not mean that men want a doormat; a semi-traditional woman is woman that is assertive when it's called for but not too insecure to encourage and welcome a man's leadership. A semi-traditional woman does not get offended when a man asks her to cook his dinner, yet she expects that he's going to return the favor sometime later in the week. If a woman rejects a man's initial acts of chivalry on a date, he interprets it as a clear indication of her overly feminist, girl-centric personality and he quickly becomes disinterested. Remember, the character She-Ra was only an alter ego. She-Ra was actually Princess Adora but she transformed into She-Ra whenever it was time for battle. Ladies, learn how to be She-Ra in battle but a princess in life.

4. Pushing the BIG "C" too soon

I must admit, I'm a sucker for a good romance. I tend to fall early and quickly which is undoubtedly why I ended up married at 18. Most guys are the exact opposite of me. Guys tend to treat commitment like it's the plague. It's not that they're totally opposed to the idea, it's just that they feel like commitment should be a gradual destination rather than a hurried first stop. Imagine that commitment is an apple. It begins as a hard inedible seed with only the potential to be a desirable fruit. With the right amount of time and dedicated nurturing, the seed will grow into a ripe and delicious treat. No matter how insistent and overbearing you are, you can not force the apple to grow at a quicker pace. It grows and blossoms on its own. When you try to make a man your husband after the first three-weeks of dating, it leaves a sour taste in his mouth much like an unripened apple would. It's not that there is not the potential for the friendship to blossom into an exclusive dating situation; it's simply that much nurturing and time is necessary for the relationship to transition from seed-form to ripe for harvesting. I know that you've been single for a long time and your clock is ticking louder than it ever has, but just remember, love is like food; a microwaved meal can never measure up to the quality of what comes out of a slow cooker.

5. Making the new guy pay for the old guy's mistakes

Being bitter and acrimonious is a state of mind. Unfortunately, you're the governor of that state. Sure, you have a valid reason to be upset. You were lied to, cheated on, abandoned and / or abused. Your ex was a scoundrel and he did unspeakable things to you. He hurt you deeply and you're still bearing the scars. There's only one problem, the tumultuous relationship ended when you were in your twenties. You've had ten years to heal and you're still hurting as if the wound was freshly made. Of course you'll never admit that you have not recovered from the breakup, but the evidence of your emotional stagnancy comes out when you meet a new man. The poor guy is unaware of the fact that you have triggers, so when he says, "I think you look nice in red. I'd like to see you wear that color more often". He's shocked when you go off on a tirade about how you can not stand controlling men and how you'll never let a man manipulate you again. He's oblivious to the fact that you're not responding to him, you're responding to the poor treatment you received at the hands of a previous reckless man. If you're honest with yourself, you'd have to admit that you've developed an adverse reaction to anything that even remotely reminds you of your ex. You have determined that you're not going to let anyone devalue you the way that he did. Unfortunately, your guarded approach to men makes it hard for you to offer any man a clean slate. You enter a dating situation suspiciously which makes it difficult for you to connect with anyone. Although you'll never forget what happened to you, you MUST forgive. Your desire to hold a grudge and constantly relive your most painful moments is what's keeping you from finding love. Men will only endure unfair associations for so long before they decide to find a woman that will give them a fresh chance. Ladies, it's time to move forward and realize that the new man deserves an opportunity to show you that he's NOT the old one.

6. Giving up the Goodies Prematurely

The Sega Genesis was a popular game console when I was in middle and high school. It kept me entertained for hours and staved off weekend boredom. The third game that I bought for my Sega system was called Arch Rivals. It was a basketball game that allowed the player to punch and slam the opposing team members. When I bought the game I was so excited! I could not wait to get home and pulverize my computer-generated rivals. I played the game for only three days before I discovered how to beat it. Once I conquered the game, I quickly became disinterested in it and it spent the rest of its life buried underneath clothes in my closet. Dating is a game with the ultimate prize being a committed relationship and maybe even marriage. The way that you play the game will determine how you will be viewed by the gentleman that's trying to court you. If you give away too much too soon, he will view you as initially exciting but ultimately unfulfilling. If you require that he passes necessary levels in order to receive certain rewards, then he will remain interested and engaged. Now, when I use the word "goodies" I'm not just talking about sex. Of course sex is the ultimate goody, but time, money, and gifts can also be considered goodies. You should calculate how and when you distribute these things. Giving everything away too soon makes you naïve and giving away too much makes you a human ATM machine. Remember, naiveté is the character flaw that keeps women from being taken seriously and an ATM machine was not built to be respected, it was built to be used.

7. Beauty but no Substance

Every head turned as she entered the grocery store. Her curvaceous body seemed to glide up and down each isle. The chestnut tiling only accentuated the color of her skin and her flowing black hair swayed rhythmically with each step she took. She was gorgeous and she was approaching Walter with a bewildered look on her face. "Excuse me sir," she began, "I was wondering if you could help me." Walter gulped with anxiety as he gazed helplessly into her amber eyes, "Sure" he stammered. "I've been searching this store for nearly 30 minutes and I can not seem to find the earl," she said. Walter's look of infatuation quickly turned into puzzlement, "You're looking for what?" "I'm looking for the earl and I can not find it anywhere." At this point, Walter could no longer hide his perplexity; he squinted as he tried desperately to figure out what earl was. "Ma'am," Walter started, "I have no idea what earl is." She thought for a moment and responded, "You know, earl. I'm looking for cooking earl. I'm trying to fry chicken and I need cooking earl to do it." As hard as he tried, Walter could not ignore the hilarity of the moment. He busted out in laughter as he asked, "Are you talking about cooking oil?" The woman grinned in pleasure, "Yes, that's what I said- earl." Walter pointed to isle 7, "It's right down there ma'am." She winked at Walter and walked briskly toward isle 7. Walter chuckled to himself as he thought about the unlikely encounter. The woman was so beautiful but her beauty only covered the tragic fact that she was brainless. It looked as though she spent ample amounts of time and money on her looks but judging by her grammar, she probably had not read a book since high school. "It's a shame," Walter whispered under his breath, "She could've been the one." Enough said!

8. The Know- it- All

Normally, men are pegged as the gender with the infallibility-complex but with the advent of the women's lib movement, women have increasingly become the know-it-alls. It's not uncommon for a childless and single black woman to offer marital and parenting advice to her married girlfriend. In black beauty shops all across the country women cackle about what men are and are not. They fail to realize that they really know nothing about men and what they do know is so skewed that it borders on irrelevant. Unfortunately, in beauty shops (and in barbershops) unenlightened conversation is encouraged rather than condemned. The seemingly harmless banter that takes place quickly becomes ingrained beliefs and those beliefs become entrenched opinions. The problem exists when a man shares an objective truth about himself or men in general and before he completes his sentence you rudely interrupt by saying, "Oh no, that's not true." See, he knows it's true! How does he know it's true? He's a man! Yet you argue incessantly because you think your beliefs are right and his are misguided. Do you see the problem? The only solution to this problem is to speak authoritatively ONLY about what you're knowledgeable on. If you know fashion, speak about fashion. If you know sports, dazzle him with your precise football analysis. Do not take a hardline stance on what you're not absolutely sure you know about. A man appreciates a woman that is intellectually curious and open to learn. Ladies, this might be a hard pill to swallow, but your mamma, grandmamma, and aunty are not the best sources of male education. If these honorable women have been your sole teachers on male issues then it's time to be reeducated. The best way to learn about men is to listen to one.

9. A Less Than Stellar History

The fact that double standards exists is a sad reality in our society. The most unfortunate double-standard happens when a promiscuous man is viewed as a hero and a promiscuous woman is viewed as a whore. I wish we could abolish double-standards altogether but unfortunately, they are what they are. Secretly, every single man harbors a desire for his future wife to be able to validly wear her white wedding gown. He cringes when he meets a wonderful prospect only to later find out that she's been around the block. Ladies, let me be candid, no man wants to be committed to a woman that has slept with half the state. He might have his temporary fun with such a woman, but he will never settle down with her. Everyone has things in their past that they're not necessarily proud of. If you have had multiple sexual encounters, my best advice is to divulge this information once trust has been established in the relationship. Avoid the sex conversation until you are convinced that he will not judge you unfairly. It's a sad commentary on our society when an oversexed man can find love easier than his female counterpart, but unfortunately that's the reality. Do not share your past until you're absolutely sure that he can handle it.

10. My friend, my brother, my mamma said …

This reason is the exact opposite of reason # 3. Women that suffer from 'Everybody Else Said Syndrome' view the input of others as law. Critical decisions are not made without the approval of a certain person or group of people and every sentence is prefaced by, "My friend / brother / mamma said …". A forward-looking man will NEVER settle down with a woman that thinks with someone else's brain. He realizes that during the casual dating phase of the relationship it might be okay for her to reach out to others, but in marriage this tendency is detrimental. In marriage, both parties must be willing to settle their own issues in house. Actually, the Bible says that a married couple should cleave to one another and become one flesh. A woman that is overly dependent on another person or other people will never be able to fulfill that mandate. Ladies, I know you value your homegirl's opinion and you hang off of every word your mother says, but if you want to find a man, you're going to have to learn the value of self-consultation. You will never be a man's kitten if you're committed to being someone else's parrot.

E-Mini Trading: Which Time Period Is Best for Trading the ES and YM E-Mini Contracts?

If you would like to get a room of e-mini traders into a vociferous argument, state in a boisterous manner, that 2 minute charts are the very best for trading the ES e-mini contract. Every successful trader has a distinct preference for a certain time period when trading. These preferences are generally the result of longtime experience and success in his or her trading career. No two individuals trade in an identical manner and time period for each bar on a traders chart is a matter of personal experience. Generally speaking, I have watched traders who trade in the scalping style use 1, 2, 3, and 5 minute charts. There are advantages and disadvantages in using each time period.

As an aside, time-based charts are not the only type of trading charts in use by professional traders. There are range-based charts, Renko-style charts, point and figure charts, and tick charts, just to name a few. The study of these charts will be the object of my next few articles. For today, we are going to go over time-based charts.

Let's start at the beginning. The amount of time for each bar on a chart is at the discretion of the trader. For example, a 1 minute chart assigns exactly 1 minute for each bar on the charts. The same logic holds true for 2, 3, and 5 minute charts. Each time period shows a different perspective of the price action on the chart under observation. There are distinct advantages and disadvantages for using various time periods in your trading. For the sake of clarity, I am going to make a few assumptions about the intended reader of this article:

– You are a trader with a trading account under $ 25,000
– You are a trader who trades in the scalping style.
– Your goal is to maximize the return on your investment while preserving your capital.

Very few traders use 1 minute charts because they typically present price action at a rapid rate, which results in many false setups. I have seen traders use 1 minute charts to get a different view of the market, but generally speaking these charts are very difficult to use effectively. In my experience I have found 1 minute charts to be of little value.

On the other hand, it is fairly common to see 2 and 3 minute charts on the majority of most traders who trade in the scalping style. For me personally, I prefer to use 2 minute charts when trading the YM contract. I do this for several reasons. The YM contract is often a slower moving contract than the ES contract and has considerably less volume, so I find a 2 minute gives me a more accurate view of the price action. Also, the YM contract is dominated by smaller traders and less dramatic price movement. The ES contract is a far different animal than the YM contract; it is a high volume e-mini contract that is loaded with professional traders and sophisticated trading technology. For these reasons, I use a 3 minute chart to slow the action down some and give myself time to get a better read on what is actually occurring on the chart. On certain days, especially very active days, I will use a 5 minute to provide even greater clarity. On days when I am having trouble getting a good read on the market action, it is not unusual for me to switch intermittently between 3 and 5 minute charts in an attempt to ascertain which time period is most beneficial in spotting setups.

In general, larger accounts tend to concentrate on 5 minute charts, as they provide excellent clarity and spotting training and consolidating markets. The reason large traders typically trade higher number time charts is they have deeper pockets and can withstand greater moves against their positions. As a smaller scalper, we tend to have shorter stop loss limits and tighter management on our trades. For that reason, smaller traders tend to trade 2 and 3 minute charts. Smaller traders simply do not have deep enough pockets to allow them the time it takes for broader market moves to develop. As a side note, institutional traders often trade 15 minute charts, as they have a nearly unlimited amount of capital to back their trades, and these traders are generally not scalpers but swing traders and trade broad trends as opposed to scalping 2 or 3 point points out of a trend.

In summary, we have looked at a variety of time periods that traders utilize in set up analysis when trading the e-mini contracts. I believe very short time periods do not provide the smaller trader with a very accurate view of the market; the short periods tend to indicate to many false setups. I also stated that the midrange time periods (2 and 3 min.) Provide an excellent insight into trading setups, and suggested that, at times, 5 minute charts can be helpful to the smaller trader or scalper. Finally, I have pointed out that large trading institutions often use 15 minute charts in their trading as they are generally looking at broader trends in the market. As a trader, experiment with different time periods and find which time period resonates most effectively for you on the YM and ES e-mini contracts.

Multicultural Leadership

In an expanding global and diverse economy, where a mix of races and culture exists – how well we lead and create opportunities amongst diverse communities' results in how well the community thrives. Leadership is the process in which one person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization to accomplish a common task. It is one of the most relevant and important aspects of the organizational context. A leader must be trustworthy and should be able to communicate a vision – "where the company needs to go".

With globalization the world is growing closer and more and more companies are employing people of every nationality, age and race. With diversity in the workforce there not only has to be a change in our leadership style but also in our approach towards both internal and external customers.

In case of external customers – Multicultural marketing helps businesses plan marketing strategically, focusing on the how to reach the customer effectively, by studying his behaviour. This requires an understanding of the customer's psychology as to why he wants to buy a particular product. Each client is unique, so you need to understand the lifestyle, culture and the environment of the group the business is targeting. The marketing, the ad campaign, the slogans all have to be client sensitive if you want the client to buy your product. So for all this you need to understand the local market and then set out the marketing programme.

Diversity within the internal workforce means that to make a business a success, we not only need to incorporate different practices and values but also treat cultures respectfully.

What does a Multicultural leadership involve?

o A multicultural leadership does not focus on an individual. It believes in a mutual relationship. The focus is on welfare, unity and harmony.
o People should work for a group success before personal gain.
o Act socially, interact politely and respect others.
o It involves working together as a team towards the success of the company.
o A multicultural leader thinks the best for its employee regardless of the cultural or ethnic background.
o The leader should consider himself just another part of the team or the organization and not as a superior. Stop the "you are the boss system".
o Each individual is unique despite outer similarities. Successful businesses are those that learn to accept the small differences that make us human and work together for the greater good of the organization.
o In a multicultural leadership to minimize a conflict the employees are reminded very often that we all are one family working together. This makes the employee fell responsible towards the company
o Allowing everyone to share their spiritual beliefs with one another and providing the freedom to the employee to accept which ever belief they like. This sometimes helps the employees to bond together spiritually and work together for the company goals
o Develop a company's vision; share the ideas, thoughts, and suggestions of all the employees. The leader makes them feel a part of the system and drives them to work more efficiently for the company.

Leadership in a multicultural organisation has some benefits and helps to:

o Understand and embrace diversity for a more enjoyable place of work.
o Handle multicultural customers better.
o Create a healthy working environment for more efficiency.
o Do better localized business

However, before embracing a multicultural leadership, clarity is required on why you would want to change the leadership style and why do you think this model will work better than the older Eurocentric model?

Indeed, there are many people who want to know how to memorize a map easily. The problem with memorizing maps is that you must be able to capture an accurate mental picture of it or else you will not be able to locate the place that you are looking for and you will most likely get lost. There are proven methods though that can help you memorize maps. And if you will simply follow these methods then you can easily place a mental picture of any map in your head and recall it at will.

One of the first things that you should do when memorizing a map is to break it down into small parts. As the saying goes, the only way to eat an elephant is to eat it piece by piece and that is also the best way to remember the details of a visual representation of a city or a town. The next step is try to connect the names of the streets with a certain landmark of the place. The reason why it is hard to remember street names is because they lack relevance. If you assign a landmark to a street, then that street will instantly gain relevance. Lastly, create a mental picture of street names. Pictures are much easier to remember than mere words.

Now that you now know how to memorize a map, you can now venture into any place without the fear of getting lost.

Candlesticks Versus Range and Renko Bars – Which Is the Best for E-Mini Trading?

I have never fully understood the relationship between time periods and E-mini trading. After all, time is an arbitrary measurement established by humankind and does not tell me much about price action or potential price movement. I realize that I am in the minority in this view, which is nothing new for me; on the other hand, if you really want to focus on price action why not use bars that are designed to do just that?

Candlesticks are noisy and hard to interpret and I have many e-mini trading students struggle trading the darn things. We tend to set specific time periods to measure price action and make specific decisions based upon the price action that occurs during that time period. This seems counterintuitive to me, as the market does not trade with 3 minute, 5 minute, or 15 minute increments. Price action is an ongoing and evolving variable that changes throughout the course of the day. I am interested in pure price action; and I am not interested in all the noisy machinations that are trading "background noise." When trading candlesticks you get the whole package; price movement and all the accompanying background noise.

Renko and range bars form without benefit of any time constraints; they simply express exactly what the price is doing at a given point of time during the trading day. Renko bars have their origin in Japanese trading and are solely concerned with price action; there is no time constraint on how long it takes a 4 Renko bar to form. It only forms when the market moves 4 ticks in the same direction. 4 Range bars form within price action moves four ticks in any direction. That being said, non-time related bars are especially useful for support and resistance traders as these levels are easily seen because of the nature of Renko bar movement.

There are a number of variations of Renko bars besides the traditional "bricks" used in traditional bar trading. I personally prefer the "Better Renko" bars because they clearly indicate the range of a given bar during its formation. More recently "UniRenko bars" have made their appearance; these bars are similar to Better Renko bars but they use an averaging system that is similar to Heiken-Ashi bars. I have had great success with Heiken-Ashi trading during trending markets but they can be a little tricky in a sideways market. For that reason alone, I stick with the Better Renko bars and have done so for the past six years.

Candlesticks on the other hand have their uses, but you have to contend with a great deal of market noise interpretation and I have found this is the realm of the most experienced traders. I start off my new traders with price action oriented bars with great success.

Have you used Better Renko bars? You might read up on them and identify the advantages and disadvantages they may have over traditional candlestick bars. They're not for everybody, but they are for me.

Herpes and Relationships – Like Peanut Butter and Pickles?

Many people who have contracted genital herpes buy into the mythological view that they are now part of a tiny, shunned fragment of society. It is all too easy to believe that having both genital herpes and relationships with others (romantically, at least) is no longer possible.

If this is your mindset, it is helpful to remember that between 20-25% of the adult population in North American currently has genital herpes. This means that you could throw a pebble into a crowd on the busiest street in your city and have a pretty good chance of hitting someone who has it.

Of course, having herpes and relationships with others is made more complicated by the fact that nobody is willing to come right out and mention their condition when they first meet someone new. The truth is that most people do not have the iron resilience to deal with someone who reacts very badly to the news, someone who has not contracted genital herpes themselves (or does not know they have).

Because of this, the modern way to have both herpes and relationships with others is through online dating. There are specific sites that cater to people who have contracted an std – and do not want the hassle and humiliation of telling every potential mate.

Now you may not want to talk or think about herpes anymore, or you may be at a stage where you want more knowledge and understanding. With a herpes dating site, you could get either: finding someone else who already has herpes takes you both past the point of needing to talk about it or disclose it, or you may use a herpes dating site as a support group to gain more information or share experiences.

Bikinis for Wide Hips

Hips are in, the curvaceous figure is back in style and wide hips are what it's all about, so read on, were going to give you some ideas on what kind of bikini looks best for women with wider hips.

A woman with a thicker torso has more options believe it or not when it comes to bikinis than a skinny torso, the reason for this is that fashion styles are changing and the movement in the fashion industry is a heavier, healthier look.

One of our favorites when it comes to bikinis for wide hips is the scoop front bikini. The scoop front style of bikini bottoms does two things, it elongates and smooth's the torso and the scoop front tends to give depth and further elongate the mid-section from the frontal view. For these two reasons, the scoop front bikini is by far our favorite recommendation when it comes to bikinis for wide hips. This scoop front bikini bottom will smooth and accentuate your curves and give your torso that perfect bikini look.

The next option is simply the string bikini bottom. Back in the 60's when the bikini was making its debut, string bikinis were the rage and women with hips were the model of choice. The string bikini allows the hips to flow, it tends to draw attention away from the hip area and draw more attention to the complete body and is not that really what the idea of a bikini is all about, to admire the full package and not focus on one area.

Bikinis with straps have become very popular on fashion runways around the world. As the fashion industry changes and the more curvaceous women is desired the bikini with straps is gaining a great deal of focus from beach goers around the world. The multiple strap bikini is a perfect choice when looking for bikinis for wide hips. The multiple straps will tend to draw attention to the style and not the area. Typically the bikini with multiple straps will cover more of the hip area for a more polished finished appearance.

If you are looking for more coverage than the vintage style bikini is on the comeback. The late 50's design of bikini is on a comeback and is really gaining ground in the Hollywood celebrity ring. These bikinis are great when it comes to designer bikinis for wide hips, they tend to ride high on the waist line and five full coverage. Many have control panels built in for a little extra tummy control if desired.

Tankini Bikinis are the rage for all body types at the moment mostly driven by the need for less sun exposure but the styles, colors and patterns are incredibly diverse and sexy. The tankini bikini offers full coverage for the woman that simply wants to keep things under cover. Many women today are still uncomfortable with their hip area and prefer to keep a more conservative look. This is unfortunate especially with the way the desired optimum bikini body is changing to a curvier look, but the tankini is an excellent choice in any case.

One of the latest fashion bikinis is the shaping bikini. These bikinis offer a scoop front design but the scoop I in more of a "V" shape. With the V front offset by a wider waist band, this bikini gives an incredible slimming appearance that no other bikini offers. This bikini by design is made for women with a wider hip area and thicker thighs. The shaper bikini is stunning by nature and is a perfect choice for women with a thicker torso.

Skirted bikinis are again more of a coverage type of bikini style for the more conservative woman, but are incredibly sexy and are quite versatile. You can go from sipping drinks by the pool at happy hour to walking down the street in the local town window shopping. Again as with Tankinis, they come in a wide range of styles, colors and patterns.

Finally for the really outgoing were going to mention the thong or g string bikini. Take note, the thong and g string bikini were originally designed for the woman that had hips. It not only draws attention away from the hip area, but in most cases it completely eliminates the traditional wider hip appearance and gives a more balanced look.

It's all about purchasing the right bikini bottom and the correct top to balance out your body type.
